Taekwondo Christmas

Grrrr, why are things always last minute!

My lovely husband asked me to make some cards for his taekwondo students (Tipton TKD club, click here if you want to know more!), unfortunately he didn't give me much notice! So, I worked out a simple design and we set up a little production line one evening in front of the telly. I quite enjoyed it in the end.

Stampotique Christmas houses

I bought these little Tando houses on a whim. So glad I did!

Christmas houses with my beloved Stampotique boys!

The houses are covered with paper, lot of stickles bling on the snowy eaves. The boys are watercoloured, with extra corpse green around the eyes......

The edge of each roof is stamped and embossed with another Stampotique image- white embossing powder and then a few snowy pearls for added texture.

And of course they all needed a few words to finish them off!

The Stampotique designer challenge this month is anything goes, so I'm off to enter :)

New York socialite

I was asked to make a 50th birthday card for a lady who was going to New York.

I went for an elegant style, but quite bold colours, with black to set it all off. This is an 8x8" card. It works well on smaller ones as well though.

I made this one for my smashing Mom, whose birthday is today!

Must admit to being kinda chuffed with my bow tying!

Christmas time snowmen

I haven't made many Christmas cards this year- couldn't get my head around it early enough. I was asked to make a few commissioned cards, and what do you know, I got my Christmas mojo back!

I enjoyed making these- fabulous vintage-y paper, and the Stampendous clear snowman stamp, which can be manipulated to make different shaped snowman bodies.

I think the spotty paper's my favourite :)

I'm entering these into the Crafty Cardmakers Christmas challenge and
the Simon Says Wednesday challenge- winter inspiration- I went for snow inspiration!
